the road to hana is one of the most famous parts of maui; a crazy winding road along the coast bringing you to the most tropical and exotic part of the island.
(fun fact- opening sequence of Jurassic Park was filmed in this area!!) we stayed in hana town with the most remarkable couple (friend's of my brother's)
and explored caves, jumped off cliffs, and rolled around on the black sand beaches. heaven. the black sand beaches were formed when
molten lava flowed into the ocean and it shattered on contact with the cold ocean waters, and it was the coolest most beautiful thing.
